Born in Detroit in 1990, Connie started her studies in visual arts at Grand Valley State University in Michigan in 2008. After obtaining her Bachelor of Arts in Photography and French, she worked in Paris teaching ESL classes for one school year and fell in love with the people, places, and pace of the city.

After her contract with the French government for the English position ended, she continued her studies and chose graphic design. She obtained her Master of Art Direction and Graphic Design from Ecole Intuit Lab Paris in 2019 and began working freelance with her main focus being the happy medium where illustration and graphic design meet.
